De acuerdo al IDEAM (Estudio Nacional del Agua, 2002) , cerca del 50% de la población colombiana que vive en las áreas urbanas municipales está expuesta a sufrir problemas de suministro de agua, como consecuencia de la presión sobre las cuencas hidrográficas y las restricciones de uso por contaminación de las aguas superficiales.

De tal manera a través de este curso el aprendiz podrá entender las consecuencias que produce esta problemática ambiental, entender la necesidad de adaptarse a las nuevas condiciones ambientales y utilizar la captación de aguas lluvias a su servicio y al de muchas comunidades que enfrentan esta problemática día a día.

Por último permitirá que quien adopte esta alternativa, contribuya a reducir el problema de escasez de agua al que nos enfrentamos hoy día.

Objetivo General

Promover la conciencia y la aplicación de prácticas sostenibles y eficientes en el uso del agua, capacitando a los participantes para convertirse en agentes activos en la conservación del recurso hídrico y la reducción de la huella hídrica.

Objetivos Específicos

Comprender el papel crucial que desempeña el agua en la vida cotidiana, así como la importancia de la conservación y uso eficiente del recurso a nivel global.

Fomentar la adopción de prácticas sostenibles en el manejo del agua, tanto a nivel individual como comunitario, para contribuir a la preservación de recursos hídricos y reducir la huella ecológica.

Establecer una conexión consciente entre los productos que consumimos y la cantidad de agua que se utiliza en su producción, destacando la responsabilidad individual en la gestión de la huella hídrica.

Facilitar el entendimiento y la aplicación de normativas y regulaciones relacionadas con el uso eficiente del agua, promoviendo el cumplimiento y la participación activa en iniciativas de conservación.
